While in Raleigh, NC this past weekend at the Food Truck Rodeo, I took advantage of the time there to document some of the crazy brand identities I observed. So much personality was packed in each truck.

The plan was to witness the Earth’s atmosphere create an optical illusion so that I could see the Sunrise and the end of the Lunar Eclipse simultaneously this morning. I called the tallest building in Raleigh’s management yesterday and asked if they would allow me on their terrace early today. After begging and doing my best to convey my honest intentions, the community manager agreed. So that’s how I ended up here with my co-worker, Alex. We were able to see the Last minutes of the Lunar Eclipse’s Umbra and the spectacular Sunrise from 23 floors above ground, but the Selenelion eluded our gaze. The Lunar Eclipse and this morning’s sunrise were well worth every bit of effort however. Batteries recharged filled with gratitude for the opportunity to be alive and able to see such awe inspiring wonders. #skygazerprivilege
Went to the Fiesta del Pueblo downtown Raleigh today after work since I’m within walking distance (second pic is unrelated and from Jones St., I just think it’s cool). It was winding down when I got there but I still got to hear some music and of course sample some of the lovely culinary options - I had 2 tacos (one pastor and one carnitas, mmm) from a food truck before I saw the plethora of other options closer to the Capitol. Naturally, I also had an arepa with black beans, sweet plantain, and mozzarella cheese. All in all I spent $10, not bad!
thank you #raleigh #northcarolina for being such a beautiful host! #setlife
